PhD Studentship: Optical coherence tomography of tissue-engineered cartilage.

A 3-year EPSRC-funded PhD studentship in biophotonic imaging is available immediately (with a potential start-date not later than 1st October 2008) in the 5*-rated Dept of Engineering Materials, University of Sheffield, working in the group of Dr Steve Matcher. The project involves the development of polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography as a tool for monitoring the 3-D organisation of collagen within native and tissue-engineered articular cartilage.
