This combination of performance and control provides a much higher level of flexibility and value for the customer, to a degree that most currently available laser systems are unable to provide.  Multiwave also offers other innovative optical sources based on fiber-optic technologies, as well as product design, product development and engineering services aimed at developing and selling cost-effective and reliable products and solutions that resolve customer pains. Multiwave will work closely with Customers to ensure complete satisfaction.  Multiwave was founded in 2003 by a team of highly experienced managers, engineers and scientists committed to deliver world-class customer value, and is well positioned to become a world-class supplier of pulsed fiber lasers and innovative optical sources based on fiber-optic technologies for applications in industry, remote sensing and medicine.   Multiwave´s core team formed over 15 years, during which it implemented R&D, product development and industrial management activities focused on exploring the advantages and potential of fiber-optic technologies. During this period the team published over 100 papers in leading journals, filed over 10 patents and successfully proved itself in industrial projects, including its financing and management.   Multiwave operates in a state-of-the-art custom designed facility near the international airport of Porto, in northern Portugal, that includes a class 10K clean room for fiber-optic component fabrication and packaging, as well as facilities for prototyping, integration & test.
