About OTI Ophthalmic Technologies Inc.

Ophthalmic Technologies Incorporated.  Ophthalmology Systems.  Acquired by OPKO Health in November 2007. Ophthalmic Technologies Inc. is dedicated to providing technologically advanced, easy-to-use equipment for ophthalmology. Offering innovative systems, with advanced imaging capabilities, OTI provides tools that meet the needs of ophthalmologists and surgeons worldwide.  In 1993 introduced its first generation of ophthalmic ultrasound products. Offering a traditional A/B scan on a non-traditional computer platform and the unparalleled ability to upgrade to three-dimensional scanning, OTI quickly created a name for itself as an industry leader.   Since 1993, OTI has expanded its product line to offer both diagnostic and surgical equipment. OTI now offers an A-Scan system, a third generation A/B Scan in two different models, a combination A/B + 3D Scan, a High-Frequency Ultrasound, and a Microendoscopy System with choice of 10,000 or 30,000 pixel endoscopes. A new Optical Coherence Tomography system for the posterior segment was added to OTI's product line in 2005.   OTI's head office is located in Toronto, Ontario, with its Research and Development branch office in Kingston, Ontario. In 2001, a subsidiary office opened in New Jersey to help service the American market, and an office was recently added in the UK at the University of Kent. With a growing distributor network which currently extends over forty countries, OTI continues to build its presence in the international marketplace.
